AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS
Matter for Consideration:
To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes.
Information:
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillors Clapham and H Mitchell of Bispham Ward have requested:
(i) £1,524 for the purchase and installation of a Christmas Tree from the Illuminations Department with led/festoon lighting and Christmas features.
(ii) £350 for the purchase and installation 3 "Sheffield" bike stands to be located on Red Bank Road.

Councillors Ryan and Wright of Greenlands Ward have requested £777 to purchase a defibrillator and staff training for Moor Park School.

Councillors Cross and Rowson of Ingthorpe Ward have requested £500 as a contribution towards a "Community Issues" Event to be held on 3rd October on Kincraig Road.

Councillors Boughton and M Mitchell of Layton Ward have requested £2,900 for the purchase and installation of a double bay set of swings at Kingscote Park.

Councillors Mrs Callow and Callow of Norbreck Ward have requested
£1,674 for the purchase and installation of a Christmas Tree from the Illuminations Department with led/festoon lighting and additional Christmas features.

Councillors Cox and Green of Squires Gate Ward have requested:
(i) £9,250 for the purchase and installation of 3 alley gates at Bournemouth Road, to include £275 estimated advertising costs.
(ii) £2,630 for the purchase and installation of an alley gate at Colville Avenue, to include £275 estimated advertising costs.

Councillors Jackson and Owen of Victoria Ward have requested £450 for the purchase and installation of extra railings at Lightwood Avenue.

Councillors Brown and Delves of Warbreck Ward have requested:
(i) £1,524 for the purchase and installation of a Christmas Tree from the Illuminations Department with led/festoon lighting and Christmas features.
(ii) £2,450 for the purchase and installation of an alley gate at Banbury Avenue, to include £275 estimated advertising costs.
(iii) £350 for the purchase and installation of a back to back sign and post for the purpose of indicating where local shops are located in the vicinity of Knowle Avenue.

Councillors Lee and O'Hara of Waterloo Ward have requested £1,750 to fund the replacement of the existing stair risers with new galvanized plate risers and to repaint the noseings on existing treads at Waterloo Bridge Steps.
